Last weekend we took a few days to go to l'Epicurieuse. We got busy with the house manual trying to include everything we could and remember and tidy the garden and terraces. The weather was really fantastic although some friends thought it wasn't yet hot enough ( 25 to 30˚c in the middle of the afternoon!) as there had been more rain in the early spring than usual . But, on the plus side, the vines and greenery are really lush and my rhododendron bloomed for the first time.
On Saturday we had went to Magalas to check what our favourite restaurant O'Bontemps was doing for the local fȇte. As we arrived on the place de l'Eglise, they were busy setting up a bar where refreshments and tapas plate would be served while les Croqs Mots Notes would be performing. So we got to help out :Andy stuck the spoon in the chocolate mousse with candlenut emulsion and I just put the mini dish of cauliflower tabouleh onto the main plate.

We stayed till the show was over, there was lyrical street theatre around food and drink. The sun was shining and the rose wine fresh enough. Right after the show, Jacqueline and Marcel from the theatre company L'Art Osé came round to talk to everyone and pause for me.

We had to leave and not see the street band to go back to Servian where friends were playing at the school fȇte.
